Spring is a time to begin moving and growing again, for both nature and humans! These herbs help promote digestion in the body and overall nourishment.

Flavor Profile:
subtle, floral, earthy

Herb Information:
*Nettle: One of the most revered herbs for its high mineral content
*Astragalus Root: A slightly sweet root that's SO good for your immune system
*Dandelion Leaf: Generally an herb that promotes internal movement/digestion; aids the liver in eliminating toxins
*Elderflower: A lovely flower that helps alleviate environmental allergies and boosts the immune system
*Cornflower: A bright blue flower that's anti-inflammatory and soothing both inside and outside the body (especially for the eyes!)

Brewing Instructions:

  • Quick Brew: Place 2 tsp of tea in a tea infuser or disposable tea bag. Heat 8 oz (1 cup) water to a rolling boil (about 212 degrees F, 100 degrees C). Let the water sit for one minute after boiling, then pour water into the infuser or mug. Steep for 10 minutes. Tea can be steeped again with this preparation.

  • Medicinal Brew: Place 2 tsp of tea in a tea infuser or disposable tea bag. Heat 8 oz (1 cup) water to a rolling boil (about 212 degrees F, 100 degrees C). Let the water sit for one minute after boiling, then pour water into the infuser or mug. Steep for one hour.

Kristina’s Preparation Recommendations:
This tea is a bit more subtle in flavor, so I love adding a little raw honey to the hot tea.
